Instructions

Here you'll find the instructions to help you bring out the best in each light and scent. The instructions are available in Dutch and English.

Candle Care for Flame Keepers

1.      Prepare your safe place.
Choose a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials. Let your candle sit quietly and serenely, a gentle beacon of warmth and light.
With pillar candles, a completely flat surface ensures that the flame can dance freely and evenly.

2.      Let the wax learn its path.
Let your candle burn for at least two hours the first time it's burned. This first ritual teaches the wax to remember its path.

3.      Don't rush the ritual.
Don't burn the candle continuously for more than 4 hours. As the flame dances, the candle and its holder will become warm. After extinguishing, let everything cool down before moving it, so the ritual can settle gently.
Pillar candles, without a holder, require extra care. Don't let their flame dance for more than three hours at a time, so the candle wall remains firm and the warm wax stays safely in place.

4.      Tend to the flame.
Straighten the wick and, if necessary, trim it back to about 5 mm before each burn. Also trim away any mushroom formation at the wick tip. A well-maintained wick ensures a steady, stable flame with a clean, soft glow.

5.      Guard the glow.
Keep your candle away from drafts, paws, little hands, and anything curious. This glow is for admiring, not touching.

6.      Never leave the flame alone.
Always stay nearby as long as your candle is burning. When it's time to extinguish the flame, do so with care and attention.

7.      Allow the flame to gently settle.
Use a snuffer or gentle breath. Breathing too vigorously can gently agitate the warm wax.

8.      When the glow is gone.
Glass and metal retain heat even after the flame has gone out. Let everything cool completely before touching or moving it.
With pillar candles, wait until the wax has completely hardened before moving the candle to maintain its shape.

Candle Care for Flamekeepers

1.      Prepare your sanctuary.
Choose a steady, fire-safe surface for your candle, far from flammable objects. Let it stand calmly and serene, a gentle beacon of warmth and light.
For pillar candles, a perfectly level surface allows the flame to dance freely and evenly.

2.      Let the wax learn its path.
On the first burn, allow your candle to glow for at least 2 hours. This first ritual teaches the wax to remember its way.

3.      Do not rush the ritual.
Let the flame burn no longer than 4 hours at a time. As the flame dances, the candle and its vessel will grow warm. Allow them to cool fully before moving, letting the ritual gently settle.

Pillar candles, free of a vessel, ask for extra care. Let their flame dance for no longer than 3 hours at a time, helping the candle walls remain strong and keeping the warm wax safely in place.

4.      Care for the flame.
Straighten the wick and, if necessary, trim it to about 5 mm before each burn. Also trim away any “mushrooming” from the wick tip. A cared-for wick creates a calm, steady flame with a clean, gentle glow.

5.      Guard the glow.
Keep your candle away from drafts, paws, tiny fingers, and all things curious. This glow is meant to be admired, not touched.

6.      Never leave the flame unattended.
Stay nearby while your candle is burning. When it's time to part, extinguish the flame with attention and care.

7.      Put the flame to rest gently.
Use a sniffer or a soft breath. A strong breath may cause the liquid wax to move into delicate ripples.

8.      After the glow fades.
Glass and metal may hold warmth even after the flame is gone. Let everything cool completely before touching or moving.
For pillar candles, allow the wax to fully solidify before relocating, so its shape remains intact.

Wax Melt Care for Scent Watchers

1.      Prepare your safe space.
Place your wax burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials. Make the space calm and inviting, a small stage for fragrance to come to life.

2.      Call upon the heat.
Use only unscented tea lights. A gentle flame is enough to release the scent.

3.      For your wax melt.
Use the amount intended for one ritual, as indicated on the package. Allow the wax to melt slowly and completely, allowing the fragrance to unfold at its own pace. You don't need to add anything.

4.      Enjoy the moment.
Let the wax melt, but don't burn it for more than 6 hours at a time. Even fragrance wonders benefit from a rest.

5.      Guard the glow.
Keep your burner away from drafts, paws, little hands, and anything curious. This little wonder is meant to be admired, not touched.

6.      Never leave the light alone.
Stay nearby as long as the tea light is burning. When you leave the room, let the flame rest.

7.      Handle heat with care.
The burner and bowl will heat up as the wax melts. Let everything cool completely before touching or moving it.

8.      When the scent fades.
Once the scent has slowly dissipated, briefly light a tea light to soften the edges of the wax. Carefully remove the wax and wipe the bowl clean with a paper towel. Keep in mind that the burner may still be warm, so handle it with care.

Use the amount meant for one ritual, as noted on the package. Let it melt slowly and completely, allowing its fragrance to unfold in its own time. There is no need to rush or add more.

4.      Savor the moment.
Allow the wax to melt, but do not burn longer than 6 hours at a time. Even scent wonders benefit from rest.

5.      Guard the glow.

8.      When the fragrance fades.
Once the scent has gently disappeared, briefly light a tealight to soften the edges of the wax. Carefully remove the wax and wipe the dish clean with a paper towel. Remember, the burner may still hold warmth, so handle it with care.
